I got into DSLR photography about three years ago. Before that, I had a point & shoot Canon Powershot S400, and before that, a Kodak 2MP that was the size of a DSLR.  It pretty much started from work/vacation with the point & shoots and realizing that I liked to compose shots. So three years ago I picked up a Canon XTi to see how far I could go. Coming from a software engineering background, my ‘artistic’ side was focused on designing software, and the odd dabbling in web programming, circa 1995. I love those ‘wow’ factor moments I can capture with the camera - something that feels much different than what I got out of snowboarding. Currently, I’m shooting with a Canon 50D.
