My neighborhood was blocked off today with cruisers and blockades. Found out the Japan emperor was still in town. The Nikkei center is right down the street from my place. Cruisers blocked off the main road when he was ready to leave. I love how the 70-300mm can reach. 
I never went to shoot the Oval before when it opened. Every time I’d drive passed it, there would be a mob of shooters there. There’s a ton of photos on flickr and stuff, so it was hard to get into the mood to go shoot it. Tonight for some reason I did. I went late on purpose, and it was a quiet, clear night.
I was trying to shoot with my 430ex flash a while back, and then I realized, I forgot how to set the shutter speed in manual mode on my 50D. :unamused:
I found this cool site that lets you calculate Depth of Field based on the lens parameters you punch in. You can see how certain combinations will give you very tight limits. You just have to move out of position by a fraction of an inch to throw off the focus on your subject.
This is Nathan who just turned two! I was goofing around with the 50D and thought I could get a backboard-mount like shot, hehe.
